Submission & Usage Agreement
Thank you for your interest in contributing your 3D model(s) to the Hive 3D Vision app. This agreement outlines the terms of participation, crediting, usage, and monetization.
1. Curatorial Notice / Terms
Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the Hive 3D Vision app.
All models will go through an internal evaluation to meet our technical and aesthetic standards.
Even if accepted, models may be rotated, replaced, or removed at any time without notice.
By submitting, you grant Hive 3D Builders and its affiliates a non-exclusive license to showcase your model for viewing or demo purposes inside the Hive 3D Vision app.
You retain full ownership and authorship of your design at all times.
You may request model removal at any time. We kindly ask for 14 days’ notice if the model is scheduled to appear in a public event or media release.
2. Public Showcasing & Credit Policy
If selected, your model may appear in the Hive 3D Vision app interface and be visible in recorded content (e.g., YouTube videos, promotional demos, presentations).
Your name or handle (e.g., Instagram) will appear directly in the app interface and may be visible in video recordings or screenshots.
Out-of-app credit (e.g., in YouTube video descriptions) is not guaranteed but may be added as a gesture of goodwill.
Hive 3D Vision may standardize name/handle formatting for display consistency across the platform.
You confirm you are the sole or lead creator of the submitted model(s). If the model involves collaborative or third-party assets, you must disclose this in the submission process.
3. Monetization & Client Use
· If a client shows interest after seeing your model in the app, Hive 3D Builders may facilitate the deal.
· In such cases, Hive 3D retains a standard 20% commission, and the remaining 80% goes to you, the designer.
· This 20% is considered the base commission rate, but Hive 3D reserves the right to adjust this percentage (increase or decrease) on a case-by-case basis depending on the complexity of the project, collaboration terms, or production needs.
· If a client contacts you directly and arranges licensing or printing independently, no fee is owed to Hive 3D Builders.
· If you choose the "Open Source / Credit Only" option during submission, you permanently grant Hive 3D and its users the right to showcase and print the model without compensation. This permission cannot be retroactively revoked once selected.
4. Model Format & Technical Adjustments
Hive 3D Vision may perform minor technical modifications (e.g., file format conversion, mesh cleanup, layer tagging, scaling) solely for display or slicing optimization.
These changes will never alter the design’s creative intent or compromise authorship.
We reserve the right to limit submissions per contributor or remove models that do not meet minimum fabrication or visual quality standards.
5. Test Prints & Internal Evaluation Use
Hive 3D Builders may produce non-commercial test prints of your submitted model to evaluate printability and technical compatibility. These test prints:
Are strictly for internal use (not for sale or distribution)
Help us assess geometry, slicing quality, and fabrication readiness
We will:
Notify you if we test or showcase your model physically
Reach out to you if the test fails due to geometry, scale, or fabrication constraints, to see if you're open to updating or refining the design
You are not obligated to make changes, but doing so may increase the likelihood of being featured or selected for printing
6. Legal Responsibility & Age Requirement
By submitting, you confirm that:
You are over 18 years old.
You are the original creator of the model(s).
Your design does not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property.
7. Storage & Retention
Submitted models may be stored securely by Hive 3D Vision for:
Ongoing use in the app
Internal demo purposes
Backup or offline presentation
You may request full deletion of your model files at any time.
8. Revocation of Usage Consent (Content Publishing Clause)
· You may request the removal of your model(s) from the Hive 3D Vision app at any time by contacting us directly. If you wish to fully withdraw from the program, we will delete:
All submitted 3D models
Associated visual materials (e.g., screenshots, renders)
Your contributor profile, including name, email, and credited handles
This full deletion will be honored within 14 days of your written request. Note that any model already featured in previously published content (e.g., demo videos, social posts) will remain online, but no future material will include your design unless re-submitted.
9. Indemnification Clause
The contributor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hive 3D Builders from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of third-party disputes related to copyright, intellectual property, or ownership of the submitted model.
10. Promotional & Exhibition Use
Models may be used in future promotional events, exhibitions, or educational presentations solely for non-commercial, demonstrative purposes unless otherwise agreed.
11. Dispute Resolution
In case of dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution informally.
· If unresolved, jurisdiction will be the courts of Houston, Texas, USA.
12. Feedback Rights
· Hive 3D Vision may contact contributors with minor feedback (e.g., export settings, model scale, layer tagging) to optimize compatibility for on-site use.
13. App Promotion by Designers
· You are welcome to promote your inclusion in Hive 3D Vision on social media, websites, or professional portfolios.
· Proper credit to Hive 3D Vision is appreciated.
14. Final Arbitration & Platform Control
· Hive 3D Builders retains final discretion over platform inclusion, display settings, monetization policy, and interpretation of these terms. These terms are subject to revision; continued participation implies acceptance of the latest version.
